Patrick Brown claimed: On crime “I wanted to bring up the issue of probation and parole…This government has failed Ontario…This is a provincial policy that is failing”
Fact: Ontario has the lowest crime rate in the country, and has held this for 11 years. Additionally, the annual average caseload per probation and parole officer has been on the decline.

Fact: Not true – we passed legislation banning winter disconnections last year.
Patrick Brown claimed: “the scary thing about this government is the day after their Fair Hydro Plan…they proceeded with 1100 more contracts”
Fact: Brown’s own Energy Critic has already admitted this claim is “inaccurate.” It’s just not true - no new contracts were signed. That was a deadline for participants to withdraw applications to FIT 5. This is very, very clear on the IESO’s website.

Fact: No need – we suspended it ourselves last fall.
Patrick Brown claimed: “Sousa is cooking the books to hide the fact that we’re still – we still have an ugly deficit”
Fact: The budget is balanced. In fact, in their analysis of our 2017 budget, National Bank stated: “Making good on a long-standing commitment, Ontario is moving back into the black this fiscal year”
Patrick Brown claimed: “Money has not gone to strengthening our infrastructure”
