Fact: Here is a link to the Auditor’s report. If you search the document the word “Toronto” comes up 147 times but not once does the Auditor say what Patrick Brown claims she did.

Fact: 26,000 more nurses are working in Ontario since we took office and our 2016 budget invested an extra $1 Billion in health care.

Patrick Brown said: “As I said in the legislature, Donald Trump is not making America great right now—Kathleen Wynne is, because she’s giving them free electricity and charging Ontarians for it”
Fact: If we look at employment growth since 2009, Ontario has seen growth of (9.4%), with Michigan (8.8%), Pennsylvania (6.6%) and New York (2.4%) all trailing behind.

Fact: Fossil-fuel reliant U.S. states like Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York have higher electricity prices than Ontario. In 2015, Ontario’s average industrial electricity prices were 8.35 c/kwh in the South and 6.35 c/kwh in the North. These rates are lower than New York 8.72 c/kwh, Pennsylvania 9.59 c/kwh, Michigan 9.13 c/kwh, and the U.S. industrial average 8.71 c/kwh.

Fact: Roads are not repaved every two years. In 2007, 59% of provincial pavements were classified as being in good repair--thanks to our investments that number is now up to 80%.
Patrick Brown said: “so she’s whispering to the City of Toronto, “you know what, I can’t give you the money I promised, but I’m going to let you put a tax on”
Fact: The only thing we’re whispering to the City of Toronto is the indisputable fact that we’ve invested billions of dollars to support the expansion of transit in Toronto, $3.7B for GO RER which will form the foundation for Smart Track, $5.3 billion for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, $1.2 billion for the Finch LRT, ($1.48 billion in 2010$) for the Bloor-Danforth Subway extension and $870 million for the Toronto-York-Spadina Subway extension ($870 million).
